  • Learn about ECCO events and programs

  •  Vote on preliminary neighborhood name options

  • Elect new ECCO board members. Nominations will be accepted before and at the meeting. Renters, homeowners, new to the neighborhood, young and old welcome!

New board members needed!
Four of 13 positions on the ECCO Board (plus two alternates) are open for election. A term is two years long. Nominations are made and voted on at the Annual Meeting. Submit your own name for nomination either in advance of (nomination form available here) or at the Annual Meeting. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and live in East Calhoun.

Responsibilities include attendance at monthly board meetings (first Thursday at 7 pm) and participation in at least one committee. Time commitments for each vary. Your neighborhood board plays an important role in sustaining a healthy, vibrant community. Interested? Please contact Monica Smith at nrp@eastcalhoun.org or 612-821-0131.

The Vision Zero Action Plan will outline key steps the City will take in the next 3 years to improve traffic safety. Traffic deaths and severe injuries are unacceptable, and the City has a goal to eliminate them on our streets by 2027. The draft plan was developed based on analysis of crashes, local and national best practices, and engagement with more than 3,000 people over the last year.

Labor Day Celebration

Join us for all the fun and festivities! Parade, games, potluck dinner and bingo!

  • Parade featuring the Southwest High Marching Band begins at 3:00 p.m.
    Arrive at 2:30 p.m. to decorate bikes, strollers, pets, etc!
    Decorating supplies will be available.

  • Games for all ages.

  • Potluck dinner at 4:15 p.m. Please bring a dish to share for the potluck dinner.

  • Bingo starts after dinner.

    1. We had a representative (Bernadette Hornig) come to the last board meeting to educate us on what is going on and how this ordinance will affect all rental situations. At this point we are going to discuss it and decide what if any actions to take.

  • The Park Board is considering proposals from its board members to include an affordable housing component in the rebuilding of the burned pavilion at the lake. Discuss and action to be considered.

  • ADU promotion request. Discuss and determine any action

There are three ways to cast your vote.

  • Postcard - Ballots were mailed to residents the week of June 17. Postcards must be received by July 11. First-class postage is required.
